Exciting, but frankly, grim news. Due to what I see as a preponderance of unfair foreclosures permeating our society in greater and greater numbers, I am introducing UnFair foreclosures dot com to my family of foreclosure blogs that presently contain Swarm the Banks dot com and Parallel Foreclosure dot com.

Each Foreclosure blog has a specific purpose. Parallel Foreclosure is my somewhat failed attempt to get the media to follow up on Sarah Buduson's ground breaking parallel foreclosure story in the fall of 2009 that identified the term "Parallel Foreclosure" as the practice of foreclosing on a homeowners home even as the homeowner is attempting to successfully complete a relatively short home loan modification.

I say "a somewhat failed attempt to get the media to also use the term parallel foreclosure" because if successful the term Parallel Foreclosure would help consolidate the close to a million HAMP foreclosure victims into finding each other on the internet. Instead of a long winded explanation about how HAMP led to foreclosure in an accelerated fashion, victims would simply know to say they were "parallel foreclosure" victims.

Since Reporter Sarah Buduson first reported about Parallel Foreclosure over a year and 3 months ago, NOT ONE OTHER REPORTER IN THE ENTIRE COUNTRY HAS USED THE TERM PARALLEL FORECLOSURE IN THEIR REPORTS.

If you google the term "Parallel Foreclosure" (with quotes around both words) you will get literally dozens of pages of ME, posting parallel foreclosure info ALL OVER THE NET, (not to mention the several dozen emails I have sent to reporters who were reporting a parallel foreclosure story without using the term, parallel foreclosure).

UnFair Foreclosures dot com may get depressing at times, but unless we shine a light on the massive amounts of unfair foreclosures going on, the banksters will simply grin, win, and go on with their shenanigans.

I am very respectful when it comes to copying content from other sources. I try to follow the rule of not copying more than the first one or two paragraphs, and I always put a link to the article I am referring to.

In this instance I am going to copy the whole question because not only cannot I figure out what language is being spoken, but it makes me wonder how legitimate the site is.

Ok, I am in a rattling bad status and could use whatever discreet advice.
Here’s my info:
I hit most 8k in debt with my Citigold entry card. 14.5 period APR
I hit most 23,800 in debt with my citibank platinum superior card w/ 0% interest on it until Jan 09′. Upon which it reverts to 6.24 uncertain interest.
I hit a bank of america balance transfer mastercard with a 12 period 0% account w/ 1200 credit line unstoppered existence clean so far. The 0& offer on this card ends in July.
Now I hit most 5k in change I can use to turn my balance. I’m intellection of meet using the 5k to pay downbound my citibank platinum select. However, should I use that money to pay off my citibank entry card?
I’m rattling potty here. I also am intellection of asking for a credit line process to Bank of america from 1200 to 10k. I started this account back in July. I’m hoping to do a balance transfer.
Basically I intellection I could use balance transfers to care with my debt but with the frugalness tanking, things are effort hard.
My credit score is around 740.
So my questions are:
1. With the 5k, which account should I pay downbound first?
2. Should I communicate for a credit line process on my bank of america card? Would it be smarter to meet communicate for 5k first instead of 10k? It was unsealed in June with no state since.
3. Should I unstoppered a newborn balance transfer credit card and essay to verify plus of a 0% balance transfer opportunity?

I kind of wish I could have gone and documented this protest since I am in the Los Angeles area. I kind of don't understand how I can have FIVE Chase Bank protest blogs up for over a year, (most of these blogs appear on page one of google searches involving Chase Bank protestS), but nobody bothered to notify me from this group that they would be protesting.

I just don't understand how 10,000 homes get foreclosed upon every day in the United States and so few of these people actually get on the internet and try and search out who is fighting for them, and for free. I found out about the Los Angeles Chase Bank protest from Huffington Post by way of Swarm The Banks, but I decided I would not get involved on the front end without notification from the group doing the protesting.

All it would have taken was for one person to simply do the following google search "Chase Bank Protest", or "Chase Bank Protest" Los Angeles, and they most certainly would have found at least one of my blogs on page one of google.

If I had had a few weeks notification about the Chase Bank protest in Los Angeles, and pumped the info on all of my Chase Bank Protest blogs, I might have reached a few thousand people, several hundred for sure.

Huffington Post may have a bigger reach, but their coverage is a very tiny part of what they do, and the story gets quickly replaced by newer stories. Whereas on my Chase Bank protest blogs the stories stay up for at least a day or two and are easily viewable for a few weeks thereafter, and, I don't charge, plus I'm in L.A., near where the protest was happening.

And besides, we're not competing! You can be in both! If I was a protestor and was aware that my protesting could get me arrested, I would probably do a google search and make sure I had let a few groups know who might care about what I was doing.

Not only that, I have spent time protesting myself and might have been able to share some ideas on making signs and how to protest and even how to avoid getting arrested and still making an impact.

How can the government offer HAMP (home affordable modification program) without offering credit card interest rate relief as well?

If the government really was trying to help people struggling with their home mortgage payments, the government would realize that homeowners also need to pay down their credit card debt as well. Interest rate reductions on both credit card debt and home mortgage payments is a REASONABLE PLAN towards giving people a honest chance to succeed.

However, why should the bankster provide home mortgage relief when the credit card interest rate charges are so high that the homeowner will never be able to pay down their credit card debt?

The bankster may be rightfully thinking, "since the homeowner can not pay down their credit card debt because of high interest rates, why should we provide relief on their home mortgage?" If the financial burden is not shared by others who the homeowner also pays on a monthly basis, why should the banks modify any home loan? Why should we shave our profit margin while the credit card companies make gargantuan profits because of huge interest rate charges.

If a bankster saw a homeowner owed 3,000 dollars on a Target Credit Card with an interest rate of 23.5%, the bankster would realize that was 59 dollars a month in interest rate charges! Why should they lower the interest rate on a mortgage when Target can get away with charging such an abominable rate?

Paying down credit card debt at a lower interest rate is not a giveaway. It's the right thing to do and an excellent way to actually reinfuse money into local economies as people being to pay for things with their own money rather than on credit as their debt load decreases.

I would make one stipulation if credit card rates were to be reduce. The credit card holder would agree that their overall credit card debt MUST DECREASE every month they are on the low interest rate credit card paydown program.

Until credit card interest rate relief happens, the HAMP program will continue to be wrought with fraud and misdirection by the banksters.

Finding people who connect with you and your concerns and whom you can align with to problem solve is one thing the internet can assist you with. But at some point, you should consider physically meeting those with similar concerns if you truly want to make a difference.

Why can't the Banksters and Barack Obama understand the nobility of a homeowner willing to convert unsecured debt into secured debt?

While 25% of all homeowners are now "upside down" on their home mortgages, that also means that 75% of homeowners are not upside down. Of the remaining 75% homeowners, probably another 25% have some, but not much equity built up in their home.
However, this still leaves 50% of all homeowners who probably still have a significant amount of equity in their home. Homeowners with substantial home equity who are presently out of work are being IGNORED by the Barack Obama administration and the banksters, and it is creating a very uncomfortable situation.

Imagine a homeowner that is in their 50's and who spent 20 plus years paying off their home mortgage that they originally purchased for 100,000 dollars (along with a whole lot of interest payments mixed into their monthly mortgage payments as well), and now their home is worth 360,000.

After the home was paid off a few years ago, the homeowner took out a home equity line of credit, called a HELOC, for 60,000 to help pay for their kids education, make some necessary home improvements, and deal with some unexpected medical bills.

This homeowner still has 300,000 dollars worth of home equity on their 360,000 dollar home. Bad news hits, the homeowner worked in the newspaper industry and their job has disappeared. This person is still 5-10 years away from retirement, but rather than jump into another job right away, they have taken in their elderly parents and will be responsible for transporting both of their parents to all of their medical visits, including hospital visits and staying overnight at the hospital if necessary.

This person wants to take time to figure out what kind of business they can run from home because they don't want to be gone all day with two elderly parents in the house.

Unfortunately, the homeowner did pay a price when they paid off their home, they never really were able to create substantial savings because they instead focused on paying off their home mortgage.

So now we have a homeowner with no mortgage, 300,000 dollars home equity on a 360,000 dollar home, no job at the moment, and they want to take longer to find a job because they want to find something they can do from home so they can monitor their parents.

Being cash poor, job poor, but home equity rich, this person asks their bank for a HELOC increase from 60,000 to 100,000. The bank asks about their income situation and the homeowner honestly answers they are in between jobs and won't have another job for another year.

If the bank agrees to raise the equity line, the homeowner will have an additional 40,000 dollars to spend, plus an additional 260,000 in untapped home equity. THE BANK IS IN NO DANGER OF LOSING ANYTHING ON THIS INCREASE IN THE LINE OF HOME EQUITY. If the homeowner were to eventually default on the entire home equity line of 100,000, the result would be the bank has possession of a home worth 360,000 dollars that only had 100,000 thousand dollars taken out.
Here is what I find strange. What the homeowner is basically requesting of the bank is a conversion of unsecured debt into secured debt (home equity line). For years consumer advocates have been advising against converting unsecured debt into secured debt since secured debt means the bank can sell off your assets to collect on your debt.
However, unsecured debt is more difficult for banks to collect against because what was purchased on credit is generally not considered an asset worth reselling.
The bankster industry has gotten so backwards that rather than embrace a homeowner's willingness to convert their unsecured debt into secured debt that is backed by actual equity in a home, the bank would rather REJECT the request to raise the home equity line.
Keep in mind that the homeowner is going to use an increase in the HELOC to keep paying their monthly bills. A SIGNIFICANT portion of their monthly bills includes sending checks to the banks for monthly credit card payments, checks to insurance companies (closely related to the banking industry), another check towards the monthly payment on the equity line (again back to the bank), a check may go towards a payment on the car (once again financed by a bank somewhere). Even checks made payable to the local water and power company usually help the bottom line of cash starved cities who usually oversee water and power!
Do you see the part here that doesn't make much sense. The homeowner is basically parceling out their SECURED ASSET, built up home equity that may have taken as long as 30 years to build up, so they can be responsible and keep paying their monthly bills.
The homeowner is actually converting their unsecured debt into secured HELOC debt while NOT endangering the banks ability to collect on the overall HELOC debt because the home is still worth much much more than what the HOMEOWNER is borrowing against. The borrowed HELOC is easily recoverable by the bank should the homeowner default at a later date.
If the banks won't work with people who have built up a lot of home equity but have no job at the present time, perhaps the banks stand to gain by simply prematurely suffocating a customer financially by not letting them gain access to the secured wealth they built up through years of making their mortgage payments on time.
The too big to fail banking behemoths that were recently bailed out by the taxpayers are not allowing taxpayers to access their own homeowners sweat equity when it becomes necessary, even when an increase in a home equity loan poses virtually no financial risk to the bank and actually benefits all the vendors the homeowner can keep paying.

Here is what one homeowner did when a bank tried to foreclose on their home even though the homeowner still had around 60% home equity built up in the home.

However, this article, and the media in general are still afraid to connect the destruction of local economies all over the country to "too big to fail" national banks that are taking the interest they charge on consumer credit card debt and either pocketing it as billions in bankster bonuses, or reinvesting the money anywhere but in local U.S. Economies.

The article also does not then show the link between the 15 billion dollars a month being stolen by banks in the form of interest rate charges on EXISTING credit card debt and the increase in home foreclosures.

Sadly, the banks eventually may make out ok since they can take over ownership of foreclosed homes for pennies on the dollar, and either hold on to them or simply resell the foreclosed home to those whomever they like, while still sticking the original homeowner with the entire debt based on the original price of the home and what they gave the home away to in auction.

An interesting development has occurred over the Chase Bank Charitable program giveaway. Chase Bank is funneling a tiny fraction of the money they STOLE from their own customers when they raised their monthly minimum payment on life of the loan, low interest rates from 2% to 5% and is giving that stolen money to charitable donations.

A couple of days before the Chase Bank Facebook contest was over, the public tally of the votes was removed from the Chase Bank Contest pages. A few groups that were in the running suddenly fell out of the top 25 and are now protesting Chase Bank.

I actually have empathy for Chase Bank over how they divide the miniscule percentage of the grand total of money they have stolen from their own credit card customers. Sure these Chase Bank customers had their low interest credit card rate, life of the loan agreements changed so that they to come up with 150% more money every month for their monthly minimum payment obligation, but Chase Bank needed a small portion of that stolen money to generate positive publicity for themselves!

Apparently, Chase bank was concerned that some of the charitable organizations were political groups and they did not want to get caught making donations to politically charged 501c groups.

So in this one instance, I do feel a touch of empathy for Chase Bank being blamed for trying to do the least politically explosive thing. Too bad they don't treat their best, never late paying credit card customers the same way.

Chase Bank has just played the roll of the Grinch who stole Christmas, but with a deviant twist that would curl the chromosomes of the original Green with Envy, Grinch.

Rather than giving back the stolen presents to the families that the Grinch had originally stolen them from, Chase Grinch hightails it to the next town, a town called Charityville USA, and gives a small fraction of the previous townspeople's stolen loot to the Charityville townspeople.

When Chase Bank accelerated the monthly minimum payment of over a million of their never late paying customers by 150% per month, (all of whom had super low, life of the loan interest rates), Chase Bank basically absconded with millions of dollars in monthly interest rate savings from these customers.

Now to make amends, Chase publicizes how generous they are by giving money, a fraction of what they stole from their own customers, to charitable organizations via their Facebook C Community Giving Promotion.

It is sad to revisit this Valentines Day 2009 story from the Washington Post and see that nothing much has changed between Valentines Day 2009 and Thanksgiving Day, 2009 in regards to home loan modifications.

Apparently 10,000 homes get foreclosed upon each and every day. Since Valentines day, almost 3 million more homes have been foreclosed upon.

There is a new credit bill being proposed that is supposed to cap credit card interest rates at 16%. The republicans are OPPOSED to this bill, remember that the next time you vote.

If you want more balance in congress between democrats and republicans, then tell your republican congressman YOU WANT A CAP ON CREDIT CARD INTEREST RATES or you won't vote for them next time around.

Our entire economy would be better off paying a 3-5% monthly minimum on 16% or less interest rates versus paying a 2% monthly minimum payment on interest rates that go as high as 29.99%

Wall Street Journal reports Citi wants more mortgage principal forgiveness.

This is really a big deal. Citi appears to be aggressively trying to do the hard work, the work of keeping people in their homes. Citi actually reports their progress in helping homeowners stay in their homes every 3 months, whereas the other larger banking institutions do not.

Facebook and Chase Bank join forces to give away five million dollars that Chase Bank just took from their own never late paying customers.

First Chase Bank changed terms on a million of their never late paying credit card customers. The changes included raising monthly minimum payments from 2% to 5%, or if one was paying 400 dollars a month, the new payment would have been 1,000 dollars on low interest rate, life of the loan credit card loans.

Any customer who had other debt at higher interest rates would have actually lost money by being forced to pay down their Chase Bank debt faster than their higher interest rate debts.

So what does Chase Bank do with the extra money that is suddenly coming in even as they wipe clean these low interest rate life of the loan accounts from their banks in an accelerated manner? Chase Bank is using that ill gotten money on Facebook.

Chase Bank is "giving away" five million dollars to charities. That money that Chase Bank is "giving away", as far as I am concerned, it came from their own customers. Diverting money from one group of people to a new group of people while posturing that it is a giveaway to non profits is just another, sleazy example of how Chase Bank operates.

I'm not suggesting anybody actually use these services unless they are referred by someone they already know and trust. But business appears to be good for some of these companies, and that is probably both a good and bad thing.

When I first came across this story I let it go because it's a free world. Chase is an international banking company. If they want to hire people of filipino descent to service the Asian sector of their customer base, that is fine and dandy. So, I let the story drop, or so I thought.

Then I discover the advertisements for the Chase Bank Philippine customer service jobs are becoming more aggressive. The Chase Bank Philippine customer service jobs are to service North America and the "151 billion dollars in US consumer debt" that Chase Bank "owns".

I am starting to get emails and documentation from people who have lost their homes or businesses, or both, to Chase Bank. The procedures being followed by Chase Bank when disputes or glitches occur appear as if they might be shady.

It sort of looks like a pattern of avoid dealing with the consumer, then use the court system to take property back, is being taken by the banks.

You states better get your act together and stop believing the banks are handling their customers delinquent accounts or allegedly delinquent accounts correctly and start protecting your own citizens, otherwise YOU, the states, are sowing the seeds of your citizens growing unrest.

Showdown in Chicago is an attempt by the working blue collar class to fight wall street and demand that bailout money that was given to the banks be redistributed to the middle class who are struggling to stay in their homes.

The banking institution is meeting this week in Chicago and protestors from all over the country have come to Chicago to greet them as the bankers meet at various financial institutions that are located in Chicago.

Twitter messages and blog articles are trickling in about the protest. One twitter message that I found interesting stated, where are the tea party protestors?

There really is a divide between the factions that are protesting the banks. Unfortunately, the romanticism of a Barack Obama presidency lured many to support Barack Obama over Hillary Clinton even though Hillary Clinton was really much more qualified and would have had the benefit of a husband who had previously been president to consult with when necessary.

I truly believe that a Hillary Clinton presidency would have prevented the massive foreclosures that are going on. Additionally, the tea party protestors and the community activist forces protesting in Chicago might have found themselves having more common ground than they currently do.

On one side of the divide are the union employees and community activists that frankly, seem to think the only ones being oppressed are african americans and latinos. On the other side are the tea party protestors, who probably skew more white than any other race.

Somehow, the issue of race has polarized groups that should be unified against the banks, into either ignoring each other, or feeling threatened by each other. The root cause may have occurred because Barack Obama did several things in the 2008 democratic primary that may have ultimately polarized his party rather than unify it.

Another complaint about Chase Bank's "slowness" in resolving home foreclosures, short sales and the like. The article I am linking to does not mention if this is actually benefiting homeowners by buying them time???

Although if there is some "benefit" being derived by a homeowner because of Chase Bank's backlog? I would surmise it is probably accidental. I have read elsewhere that the bank stalling tactics can actually increase several other fees and interest charges that accrue monthly and can then remain attached to the home. Presumably these accruing fees and interest rate charges jump to the front of the line when the home is eventually sold and are probably paid off before other bills.

I'm kind of impressed that Barack Obama is supporting a Consumer Protection Agency. I mean we already have one, but apparently this one will have teeth. I wonder if the Agency will be able to stop the flow of corporations that set up shop elsewhere.

There is a plethora of areas where such a Consumer Protection Agency could do a lot of good. For example, why do 99% of all side by side refrigerator freezers have an ice dispensing unit built into the door? To sell more SODA, that's why. If a consumer protection agency could get the refrigerator industry to have a more balanced scheme where they maybe offer 10% non dispensing side by side refrigerator freezers, it would have paid for itself.

It's called CHOICE. Right now, there is virtually no choice between buying a side by side refrigerator freezer with an ice dispenser built in, versus one that does not have an ice dispensing unit.

Chilled drinks in general are not good for you. There is a theory that if you eat meat and also consume cold drinks at the same time, that the cold drink may actually cause the undigested animal fat to condense and harden in your stomach before it is digested. yech.

How about selling more outlet strips that actually have an on off switch for each individual outlet so you are not sending electricity to a device that is not even turned on but the power supply nonetheless continues to suck electricity? Wouldn't that help save energy since small electronic appliances now account for 15% of our energy consumption and they use as much as 80% of their normal energy requirements even when in the off mode, because the power supply is still being fed power by the power strips that don't have individual on/off buttons.

We need a consumer protection agency with teeth, so I am for such a creation.

Perhaps I am letting the cat out of the bag a bit too early, but I now have enough pictures for my "The Cat Who Ate Chase Bank" photo book. This will be my first book, so it may still take another 2 months before it is written, put into book format, and then actually test printed.

I want to announce it now so those of you who visit this site might consider buying The Cat Who Ate Chase Bank as a Holiday Gift this year. The book will feature pictures, captions, and information about all of the reprehensible things Chase Bank is doing to domineer customers who have spent their lives building up solid customer credit histories.

I believe Chase Bank thinks there is not a thing you can do in response to their narcissistic attitude and financial actions that have actually endangered people's living arrangements, and even their health, from the added stress Chase Bank's "me first" attitude has caused.

But the "Cat who Ate Chase Bank" is just a first step. Also in the works are T-Shirts, headbands, wristbands and sashes with the catch phrase "Chase Bank is Dead to Me". Domain names have already been purchased for both the book title and the slogan.

Luckily for Chase, I HAVE NO MONEY to start this venture, other than a few hundred dollars. It may take up to a full year to get this venture really going, but I think it could finally become chic to actually "rage against the machine".

I am treating this entire venture as a for profit venture. (Imagine if I lost money on each transaction, that would not be smart.) However, I will try and bring every product to market at the best price while also having the products made in america.

I'm a but unsure as to whether I want to handle all the book sale transactions myself. I calculate I would have to sell at least 15-25 books a day to make it worth my while, yet the time to ship 25 books every day might take too many hours away from my ongoing research, blogging, and robot videos that are also being planned.

Maybe you can buy one for your local credit union, or even another nationwide bank so they can put it out where their own customers can see it. I am pretty sure that Wells Fargo Bank might get a chuckle out of the book and want to make sure that their own customers see it.
If I thought for a moment that Chase Bank was no different from any other bank, I would NOT have bothered with my blogs, this book, or the slogan. It is specifically because Chase Bank has broken the boundaries of decency with their actions towards customers WHO HAVE EARNED THE RESPECT of the entire banking industry with their decade or longer of solid credit history that has motivated me to move forward with my plans to make sure no other bank ever takes the path that Chase Bank has chosen to take, now.

Lets start spending money amongst ourselves, and boycott the celebrities, the always striking or threatening to strike super millionaire sports stars, the over priced movies, overpriced live events.
Consider buying "The Cat Who Ate Chase Bank" versus buying anything that generates money for the famous, the wealthy, the celebs, all who have IGNORED THE AGGRESSION CHASE BANK has chosen to generate against their very own customers.
Ideally, being able to sell the books in lots of 12 would make the whole venture run smoother, and if I can get the price down low enough, may even save you money come this holiday season. 12 books could prove much less costly then buying 12 separate gifts.

Comptroller of the Currency FAILS to rescue Chase Bank Customers just when they needed the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency most.

Here is a copy of the coyly worded Chase Bank Proviso the Comptroller of the Currency has left in so that Chase Bank can Defile and Default their customers out of their low interest, life of the loan credit agreements that were already in place. I had to cut and paste it as two sections because it started on the end of the first page, third column, and continued on the first column of the next page. There are no words missing between the first part and the second.

This is patently in correct, and I am surprised the Comptroller of the Currency would include this Chase Bank proviso in the credit card reform bill.

Paying down 2% of the minimum can in fact pay off a credit card in a timely fashion, it just depends on WHAT THE INTEREST RATE IS! If the interest rate is LOW, then even a 2% monthly minimum payment is PLENTY to pay down the debt in a reasonable amount of time.

There are times where high interest rates enslave a consumer and they can only tread water. Then there are times when a consumer has EARNED a low interest rate offer because of a stellar payment history. LEAVE THESE LOW INTEREST RATE PEOPLE ALONE!

The one million Chase Bank customers that Chase Bank is TARGETING ALL HAVE INTEREST RATES UNDER 6%! RAISING THEIR MONTHLY MINIMUM PAYMENT IS HURTING THEM FINANCIALLY IF THEY HAVE OTHER DEBT AT HIGHER INTEREST RATES.

This is highway robbery being committed by Chase Bank, and the Comptroller of the Currency seems to be aiding and abetting Chase Bank. If you are hopping made about this wording please call (202) 874-5750 and tell the Community and Consumer Law Division of the Comptroller of the Currency that this section of the credit card reform bill must be changed so that people who are paying off higher credit card interest rate charges don't LOSE MONEY by now having to pay off low interest rate credit cards at a faster rate!

Make these Chase Bank executives EARN THEIR BLOATED PAY AND OBSCENE BONUSES, make them SEE your payments.
Let the Chase bank executive officers and their personnel actually SEE the payment envelope that contains your sweat and stress payment inside. Oh, the INDIGINITY that will bring to the Chase Bank Corporate Offices, to actually have to see the payment envelopes of the customer minions they stomp on with their arrogant attitudes and actions.
Chase Bank seems so aloof about their actions now that their best buddy Barack Obama is in the white house, lets make the executive offices see your payment as a way for you to support your fellow citizen who is being unfairly afflicted by Chase Bank methods and actions.

BE POLITE! Yes, be polite when calling to verify that Chase Bank received your payment. Politeness will actually freak them out more than if you yell at them. Chase bank will then see that we are a united front, from the polite way we call to verify that our payment was received.
Wait 5 working days from when you mail the payment BEFORE CALLING to then verify that Chase bank corporate office got your payment. I would suggest mailing your payment in REAL EARLY, at least 10 working days ahead of the due date.

I wish I could contact the people who write in to consumer affairs dot com to complain about Chase Bank and create a coalition of unhappy Chase Bank customers but there is no way to reach people based on the info they leave with their complaint, and understandably so. Unfortunately, Consumer Affairs dot com charges 2,500 dollars for the cheapest ad, do you think I can afford that?

I was willing to spend a couple of hundred dollars to advertise on the Chase Bank Consumer Affairs Complaints page, but not 2,500 dollars. Just one more way the system barricades people from reaching each other.

In the meantime, I think it is time to start publishing phone numbers, email addresses and where to send letters to to protest. Politicians, Media, Chase Bank executive offices. Please use the comments section and comment on who you think we should contact.

If Chase Bank puts in writing that customer disputes are handled by arbitration, but then does not allow me arbitration when I have a dispute with them over their change in terms with no opt out option, has Chase Bank committed mail fraud?

I think it is mail fraud for Chase Bank to put something in writing, send the writing through the mail, and then not honor what they wrote. I am challenging the raising of the monthly minimum payment from 2% to 5% on customers (myself included) that had low interest balance transfer loans with Chase Bank.

What if Judges Waived all BANK FEES, PENALTIES, and INTEREST RATE CHARGES in Debt Settlement Cases?

What if Judges waived all interest rate charges on all of their debt settlement cases? Would not waiving fees, penalties and interest rate charges motivate the banks to try and use incentives to get consumers to pay down their debts?

If someone has a 10,000 dollar credit card debt, and judges don't include any additional fees, penalties, or interest rate charges, isn't the bank going to be a LOT MORE HELPFUL in getting that person to pay down their actual debt BEFORE taking them to court?

It is the lure of the penalties, the fees, the interest rate charges that is preventing bankers from being human beings. Since Bankers can't help themselves, and will only do the helpful thing when all other choices are taken away, why don't you judges just start warning the bankers and collection agencies that you WILL NOT accept any late fees, penalties, annual renewal fees or interest rate charges onto any judgement that is going to be made in your courtroom?

This country was founded by formerly indentured servants who came to america to pay off their debts. It is not a far stretch to break the bank of tyranny by removing the biggest tool of enslavement, ongoing interest rate charges, fees and penalties that the debtor can no longer afford to pay.

There is no dishonor in paying back what is owed, minus the fees, penalties, and interest rate charges, especially in times of economic pestilence.

Back in May of 2009, Daily-Protest.com began reporting that the banking industry was not offering, nor seemed interested in offering consumers any kind of "INCENTIVES" to help pay down their debts.

Just now, approximately 80 days later, PETER S. GOODMAN of the New York Times is reporting that home mortgage firms have little INCENTIVE to help homeowners avoid foreclosure!

I've written sooooo MANY ARTICLES about how CHASE BANK'S Jamie Dimon, Barack Obama's favorite banker, has determined he can make more money by letting his home mortgage and credit card divisions lose money so Chase Bank's other divisions can make even more profits by buying distressed businesses at far below market value.

However, it is specifically because the banking industry IS NOT helping the consumer that these businesses become distressed as fewer and fewer people can afford their goods and services. So this makes the Wall Street Bankers actions worthy of a CONSPIRACY. The purposefully are wanting the home mortgage and consumer credit card debtors to default so they can profit every which way!

Barack Obama appears to be supervising a white house team of teflon evil doers who continue to say they inherited all the bad, as they try and to take credit for any hopeful falsehood that sounds good in print.

Are hopeful falsehoods acceptable to you? They are not acceptable to me.

Barack Obama has not offered even one INCENTIVE so people can work their way out of their own messes. Instead, Barack Obama wants to personally feed everyone a bailout, stimulus package, bribe or tax increase so he can have his hand in everything, at the ready to pounce on any situation that he can take PERSONAL credit for. This type of egoism will lead to the UNNECESSARY loss of homes for many many americans.

The Two headlines above are both talking about Capital One's 2009 second quarter. The first one says 'CAPITAL ONE POSTS 2Q LOSS AS CHARGE-OFFS WORSEN. The second headline states, UPDATE: CAPITAL ONE TURNS A PROFIT, SEES NO TURN IN LOAN TRENDS.

If headlines about the same company can be so completely opposite, how can we believe anything that Wall Street, Jamie Dimon, Chase Bank, or even Barack Obama says about our economic future?

The Law Blog headline right above "The Revolution Rolls on: JPMorgan Chase Suspends Arbitration Activity" features a quote from Chase Bank representative Paul Hartwick, “Chase seeks to provide excellent service with integrity and respect for our customers".

When I first googled the Paul Hartwick quote, IT APPEARED NOWHERE ELSE ON THE INTERNET, it only appeared on the above blog!

That would make the quote an exclusive, no? Yet, the quote is just sort of mentioned as if it were part of a news conference. But if the quote was mentioned at a news conference, it would have appeared in a few more internet news outlet sources.

That sure was one small news conference, to have it originally ony appear IN ONE ARTICLE ACROSS THE ENTIRE INTERNET!

Since first checking the Hartwick quote, I did find a SECOND blog that quotes, the first blog. Is that it? So Chase Bank makes an announcement to the media to suddenly end arbitration and the direct quotes from Chase Bank executives don't appear anywhere but in ONE Wall Street Journal blog? Huh?

A further search done a few days later reveals a few more blogs, but they are just repeating what the Wall Street Journal Blog first wrote. Is that it, no other major media outlet even bothered writing a story about Chase Bank ending arbitration???

Chase Bank offers ProActive Solutions for Customers who Cannot Afford the 2% to 5% Monthly Minimum Payment.

(Update - Oct. 8, 2010 - Please go to this article as well to learn about the Chase Bank Balance Liquidation Program)

I just spoke with Chase Bank Credit Card Pro-Active Solutions Department. I did not go through the actual process of requesting a credit card "loan modification", but you can. The loan modification is for anyone who cannot afford the Chase Bank 2% to 5% raise in the monthly minimum payment on their low interest credit card loan.

Basically, you will be asked what your income is. Your deal will be based on your income and your ability to pay back the loan within a five year period. My opinion is that they are not verifying income. However, if you lie about your income and get a new deal, and then can't make the payments on the new deal, you won't be eligible for any additional modification for five years, and your account will probably go to default.

If you lie about your income, but can still make the payments on time every month until you pay off the loan, then, whatever, whatever. Ultimately, Chase Bank IS STEALING FROM YOU because they are forcing you to accept an accelerated paydown of your low interest rate credit card if it cause you to take longer to pay down other debt that is at a higher interest rate! However, a five year deal is better than either defaulting or accepting their 5% monthly minimum payment program if you cannot afford to pay down the debt that fast, or have to lower your payments on other debts that have a higher revolving interest rate charge.

I really don't like that everybody that is about to have their monthly minimum payment raised from 2% to 5% is NOT being notified about the five year plan. Only the bare minimum who check out a blog like this will discover this program. I think not notifying EACH AND EVERY CUSTOMER about the five year deal is deceptive. Everyone who was offered a similar type of low interest, life of the loan credit card offer (a life of the loan percentage rate of anywhere from 1.99 to 5.99 for the life of the loan) should be notified about the five year deal, so why doesn't Chase Bank just offer a one size fits all INCENTIVE BASED credit card debt paydown plan?

In the meantime, the best plan you can get from Chase Bank appears to be the five year deal. Please understand that you will be making that same size payment each month for the next five years AND your card will be CLOSED to new activity of any kind! You should however, retain the interest rate you are currently paying, and in some instances, apparently people are getting even lower interest rate offers.

You can pad down the payment on your five year deal by first making a bigger than normal payment to the account before asking for the five year deal.

(Edit update - I ended up going for the five year program. I made one payment at the 5% monthly minimum payment, and then I applied for the five year deal. That one 5% monthly minimum payment caused my five year plan to lower by I think it was 10 dollars a month over what it would have been had I not made that one bigger payment first.)

I have been informed there are two Chase Bank super special secret sauce solution phone numbers where one can call and get a favorable result to the catastrophic Chase Bank's raising of the monthly minimum payment from 2% to 5% on their most prudent, never late making a payment customers.

I just don't like the idea that Chase Bank is willing to secretly "fix" a very public wrong that they have already committed, and continue to commit, for only a select few.

It will take at least 500 to a 1,000 internet protestors to make a dent against the Chase Bank monolith. There may in fact be 10,000, 20,000, even a hundred thousand or more people upset with Chase Bank, but they don't post on the internet nor do they share what they are doing to protest Chase Bank.

I think it is very important for all of you not to just think of this DAILY-PROTEST site and BLOGGERS AGAINST CHASE BANK as simply places to make you feel better as a victim. These two sites are here to inform the uninformed, to motivate those who thought there was nothing they can do, and to DEFEAT CHASE BANK AND MAKE THEM REVERSE COURSE.

Middle Class American Joe has come up with an idea that I think is worthy of sharing with you all. Middle Class American Joe is suggesting anybody who cannot afford the Chase Bank increase in the monthly minimum payment from 2% to 5% to just send in 10 dollars the month the increase goes into effect.

I think I may join in with this idea.

However, I think it is prudent to actually deposit the difference between the 10 dollar payment and the previous monthly minimum payment, into a CREDIT UNION account. Consider this your monthly "escrow account" where you will keep the necessary funds to pay the Chase Bank monthly payment based on the prior 2% monthly minimum, when Chase Bank reverses course.

If enough people did this, it could send a wake up call to Chase Bank. Not only did their own customers not send in the ridiculous and unethical 5% monthly minimum payment, but their customers also opened up a credit union account which they may end up keeping open even if Chase Bank reverses course.

Can the 10 dollar protest payment idea really spread wings and reach the one to two million Chase Bank customers over the next couple of days? Remember, Chase Bank customers who only pay the 10 dollars should be those who are affected by the 2% to 5% increase in the monthly minimum payment. Anybody else doing it might just be hurting themselves.

I have been advocating consumers who are being victimized by Chase Bank and their raise in the monthly minimum payment from 2% to 5%, request arbitration. I just want to pass on a heads up that The National Arbitration Forum is being accused of Favoring banking giants such as Chase Bank, Bank of America, Citi Bank, and so on down the line, over the consumer.

I can imagine that if the results are not to the major banks liking, they simply will take their business to another, more "reasonable" arbitrator. It is not that far of a stretch to feel compelled to somewhat manipulate results if your employer will fire you otherwise.

This is the exact same kind of game playing that allegedly goes on in the food industry business. If a food giant hires a food inspection company to document that they follow safe food handling practices, just how far will the company that has been hired by the food giant go against the very company that is probably paying them for favorable results.

Now we find the same pattern in the finance industry when it comes to arbitration. I still recommend arbitration, just be wary and be tough and mention that you know about THIS LAWSUIT FILED BY THE MINNESOTA ATTORNEY GENERAL AGAINST THE NATIONAL ARBITRATION FORUM and that you expect a fair hearing no matter who is paying their way.

I have read on the internet allegations that some home appraisers may be giving out appraisals that favor the banks agenda on a case by case basis.

There are some hard core Chase Bank haters who are hammering away on the internet, contacting the media, complaining directly to Chase Bank, posting to the Chase Sucks Forum or at Change in Terms dot com, or writing a complaint at Consumer Affairs dot org.

Then there are hundreds of bloggers who are pissed off and will devote entire articles to their hate for Chase Bank. These bloggers don't have a dedicated blog to hating Chase Bank, but they have used their regular blog about coupons, headphones, raising kids, being in love, to suddenly go off topic and complain about Chase bank! I mean, WOW!

Then there are the thousands who are also taking the time to write letters to Consumer Affairs dot org, their congress person, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, or the board of directors of Chase Bank, or just complaining to Chase Bank customer service.

Then there are the people who are googling, who have never before googled phrases such as "raise the monthly minimum payment", "OPT OUT", "Change in Terms", or "Chase Bank Protest". I can only imagine the feeling of vindication and rejuvenation they might feel when their google search reveals actual links to blogs and articles where others express similar sentiments such as feeling like they too have been kicked in the stomach, by Chase Bank.

Considering that this is a free google blog, I have still put HUNDREDS OF HOURS into it in front of the key board, plus several dozen more hours actually protesting on locations, even making the protest signs takes time. I can't forget the almost 10 bucks for magic markers to make my protest signs with and free white cardboard stock from Costco.

Therefore seeing the recent spike in readership here is gratifying.

We all are motivating each other. The more hits Daily-Protest dot com and Bloggers Against Chase Bank dot com get, the harder I try. The harder I try, the more people seem to find my blog who then realize they are not alone, nor are they a loan.

On the one hand, I wish my audience was 10 times as large, as then I would know for sure that the messages from this blog are getting out there. On the other hand, my audience could easily be ten times smaller if Chase Bank had taken a different, less violent approach towards their customers.

Don't give up, please show up here every day, say hello. It all helps remind Chase Bank that strangers who don't even know each other or even live by each other, are amassing against them.

Fortunately, my own research has led me to the conclusion that Jamie Dimon cannot win. The best chance Mr. Dimon has to save his own job is a very fast retreat from the harsh position Chase Bank has chosen to take against millions of their best, most loyal, never late making a payment credit card customers.

Jamie Dimon of Chase Bank has mistakenly claimed that Chase Bank is raising the monthly minimum payment from 2% to 5% on 2 million of their most loyal, never make a payment late customers as a way to help them pay down their credit card debt.
Jamie Dimon is misinformed, and it concerns me that some one with so much responsibility and that has so many people counting on him to make intelligent, cognizant, truthful statements, could be so misguided.
How can Jamie Dimon run Chase Bank if he doesn't even understand a principle as simple as the most effective way for consumers to pay down their credit card debts?
To put this as simply as I can, the BEST WAY to get out of credit card debt is to pay off the highest interest rate cards FIRST by making bigger than minimum payments every month. The LOWER INTEREST RATE CARDS are paid the monthly minimum payment every month as the consumer is making larger monthly minimum payments on higher interest rate cards.
When Jamie Dimon raises the Chase Bank monthly minimum payment from 2% to 5% on LOW INTEREST RATE CREDIT CARD LOANS, he is making the most reckless decision he can make to his own customers who have never done him wrong but rather made their payments on time each and every month.
I have made an initial estimation that Chase Bank is COSTING THE AMERICAN CONSUMER BETWEEN 100 MILLION TO 1 BILLION DOLLARS A MONTH because of Chase Bank's "ME FIRST", SCORCHED ECONOMY approach to 2 million of their most reliable, never late paying customers by raising their monthly minimum payment from 2% to 5% on low interest credit card rates.

This is no longer about just Chase Bank, The AP just released an amazingly important study that proves that Credit Card Company debt collection tactics are suffocating local economies all over the United States (click anywhere on this sentence for AP Article).

If we do nothing now against Chase Bank's plan to raise monthly minimum payments on over a million of their never late, trustworthy customers, we will only have ourselves to blame.

In California, the people did something and started fighting back. REVIEWING WHAT IS EVIL ABOUT CHASE BANK'S 150% INCREASE in the MONTHLY MINIMUM PAYMENT.

What Chase Bank is not saying is that the "one-two percent" that they are blindsiding with a 150% increase in the monthly minimum payment are a million to two million of their most trustworthy, reliable customers who were never late making their payments AND were benefiting from a low interest, life of the loan interest rate!
Chase bank appears to be trying to default their most reliable and trustworthy customers by raising the monthly minimum payment on them by an additional 150% because Chase Bank wins no matter what happens next.
What makes the situation completely unacceptable is that Chase Bank is NOT ALLOWING THESE OVER ONE MILLION VICTIMS STRONG to OPT OUT of the change in terms to their pre-existing agreement.

If these one million plus blind sided, previously never late paying Chase Bank customers pay the additional 150% increase in the monthly minimum payment requirement, Chase Bank saves a ton of money by accelerating the pay down on these low interest, life of the loan interest rates, a move that has been aptly labeled bait and switch by an LA Times Headlines.

If these one million Chase Bank customers cannot afford the new 150% higher monthly payment requirement. they will default on the special low interest rate, life of the loan account, the interest rate jumping from 3.99-5.99 percent to as high as 29.99%, and their credit rating will be affected as well.
The other point that NOBODY MAKES is that other credit card companies HAVE NOT raised their monthly minimum payment requirements, and if they do, they will MOST LIKELY OFFER AN OPT OUT OPTION TO THEIR CUSTOMERS, whereas CHASE BANK DID NOT!
If Chase Bank succeeds in raising their monthly minimum payment by 150%, they are basically jumping their payback requirements ahead of all the other banks. This then makes the other banks look bad to their investors and literally forces them to do the same thing. If Chase Bank demands a bigger cut of the monthly minimum payment pie, why shouldn't all the other banking boards do the same thing to customers cannot afford it?

I am actually for higher minimum payments, as long as they are done when someone gets their first credit card, not after they have built up debt under the 2% monthly minimum rule and are using the low interest rate card to pay down that particular bill while paying down higher interest rate cards first, which is EXACTLY how Chase Bank marketed the discount offer to ALL OF THESE CUSTOMERS they are now blind siding.

If Chase Bank succeeds in raising the monthly minimum payment by 150%, consumers will have LESS AVAILABLE MONEY every month to pay other higher interest debts. Chase Bank's demand also suctions much needed money from local economies as people will have absolutely no additional money to spend, even on basic necessisities.

When these consumers credit rating is lowered for defaulting on these Chase bank accounts, they will be paying higher interest rates in the future as well, resulting in less money every month for the local economy.
